that allows a user to pledge money to a creative project
and then see their pledge paid forward to the charity of their choice -
giving them two good deeds for the price of one.

Our founder, Pete Cummin, had a vision of how he would like the world of
crowdfunding for the arts to coincide with cause marketing.
After raising money for the charity, March of Dimes,
when his twin boys were born prematurely, he was hooked on a feeling.
Along with this and wanting to retain ownership and control of his own
TV and film projects, he saw a way for both artists and charities
to get what they need.

We took the traditional crowdfunding model and made three improvements:

  1. 5% of your pledge will go to the charity of your choice. 5% of the project sales (once in profit), will also go to charity (up to the pledged amount).
  2. Projects get Marketing Partners. When you create a project, you'll enjoy the PR and marketing muscle of five charities spreading the word about your campaign.
  3. We allow for Gap Financing within the funding model. Larger projects that miss their funding goal have another 15 days to secure a loan or equity investment to finance the difference.
